Our Club meeting on March 16 was held at our Wheelchair Restoration Project  workshop at Woodville. The project began in 1989 and had operated from a number of venues.When it was desperately in need of a new home Stan Ellis,a former member of the Rotary Club of Woodville South came to the rescue,and offered the use of the current workshop.

Past President Errol Chinner,a long time member of the " Wheelies", explained the various processes involved in the restoration of wheelchairs. Of particular interest was the manufacture of  the hard rubber tires which are fitted to all chairs destined for third world countries. Chi Wing Sung from Domicillary Care was a guest at the meeting.He was interested in seeing the various elements of the restoration process,and hoped he could develop a working relationship with the "wheelies" which would be mutually advantageous.
